1990~
Influenced by the wood lure designs of the American companies Heddon and Creek Chub, he began making lures on his own.
When he got a copy of the magazine “All About Black Bass,” he learned about domestic manufacturers such as Endo Minnow, Architect, and Dream Rush, and was impressed by the beauty of their minnows and topwater plugs modeled after native Japanese species.
2000~
Japanese handmade wood plugs were further subdivided into minnows, crankbaits, topwater plugs, etc., and many manufacturers were established.
Among them, topwater plugs were outstandingly interesting, sophisticated lures that perfectly imitated fish, playful lures filled with American culture that was greatly influenced by the Heddon Corporation, and among them, the wildwalker by Taizo Shimazaki, a representative of “HandSome” company in Aichi Prefecture, a local company. When I held the wildwalker jr. by Taizo Shimazaki, a representative of “HandSome,” a local company in Aichi Prefecture, I was impressed by its outstanding painting technique despite its abstract design that does not resemble a fish, and when I actually used it, I felt the beauty of its functionality as it moved beautifully through the gaps of the lure’s luster and casts.
2002~
He encountered black bass fishing overseas as part of his study abroad experience. I met a friend of Sandiego’s who took me to a boathouse on a lake where Heddon lures and direct reels, which I had admired as a child, were on display, which made my heart dance.

The flagship “Carving Scale” model is launched, featuring designs based on Japanese endemic species, with lures from Heddon and Creek Chub, which have continued to be an influence on the company’s products. The unique lure is a fusion of American pop design with foreign and Japanese technology, using small knives and carving knives to cut and carve, with attention to detail from scales to gill molding.

2023~
Establishment of DENSHO LURES wooden lure brand.
In the process of producing wooden lures, we inevitably noticed the interesting individual differences, which is also interesting and exciting, but we also realized that it is also a weak point. We set out to create a more precise wooden lure.
The STICK SCALE is made by laminating a single piece of painted scaly design, and this technique has completed a new product that gives a “Japanese” feel to a lure born in the United States.
